Hitachi Makes 1.8-Inch Harddrives Smaller;

LIAM "THE INTERN" MCNULTY -- Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (the bastard child of Hitachi and IBM's storage divisions) has announced a new version of their 1.8" Travelstar C4K60 hard drive, sporting a 10% smaller size and the "ZIF (Zero Insertion Force)" connector. This model is planned to be available in 20 and 30GB capacities. And yep, you guessed it... it's intended for use in portable audio players.
